About Blooming Medical Group, PLLC
Reaching out for mental health support takes courage. Whatever brought you here, whether it’s anxiety that won’t quiet down, a diagnosis you’re still making sense of, or simply the sense that something needs to change, we want you to know you’ve found a team who will meet you with care, not judgment. Blooming Medical Group is made up of seasoned mental health providers who share in their passion for providing compassionate, safe, accessible psychiatric care to the people of North Carolina.
Blooming Medical Group was founded by a psychiatric provider who wanted to build the kind of practice she wished more patients had access to: one where people are truly listened to, treated as partners in their own care, and never rushed through an appointment. What started as an independent practice has grown into a team of people committed to providing the exceptional and accessible care their patients deserve.
We understand the vulnerability that comes with reaching out for help, and we fully honor the gravity of the trust you are placing in us. Coming to a psychiatric appointment often means sharing things that feel scary to say out loud and laying bare fears, struggles, or a history you’re still carrying with you. We understand the courage it takes. Our providers are experienced in working with patients who have extensive histories, including trauma, and we approach every conversation with the same message: we’re here to listen and work with you, not to judge you or make you feel ashamed of what you’re going through.
You are not a diagnosis to manage or a checklist to get through. You’re a unique person worthy of support and healing, and we treat you like one.
A Collaborative Approach to Your Care
We don’t believe in a paternalistic model of psychiatry, the kind where a provider hands you a prescription and expects you to simply accept it and go about your day. Instead, we work with you. Together, we discuss your symptoms, history, and goals to build a treatment plan collaboratively. We want your treatment plan to reflect what actually matters to you and help you finally live your life on your terms.
For many psychiatric patients, medication is deeply beneficial in allowing individuals to achieve a baseline that feels stable, steady, and sustainable. We take medication seriously, which means we are deliberate about when and how we use it. If you come to us already taking medication, our goal isn’t to add more. It’s often to simplify your plan and make sure everything you’re taking is truly necessary. We don’t prescribe medication unless it’s clearly indicated, and we aim for the lowest effective dose, so you can feel better without feeling overmedicated.
Long-term mental health comes from long-term, multidisciplinary care. We believe in facilitating a holistic approach to your mental health. We encourage our patients to work with therapists and other specialists when it is appropriate, and we are committed to coordinating with them to ensure you have a cohesive care team.
At Blooming Medical Group, you will be met with compassionate and skilled providers and are unwaveringly committed to helping you feel better and enjoy your life.
